Summer By The Sea

Summer has arrived and after hours upon hours of work, so has my summer collection.
Some exciting pieces for you this summer, the second summer in the life of 'Trunk & Bobbin'.

Well, I might as well get right into the introductions and re-introductions of the pieces you will see this summer.

The Duo-Purpose Handkerchief Skirt

The Skirt/ Dress that dances when you do!
This is a timeless piece built for beauty, versatility, comfort, and movement. These skirt/dresses are fantastic for formal or casual events! With a stretch waistband at the top which doubles as a bodice top these skirts are an easy fit for many body types.

The Infinity Scarf
Why the Infinity Scarf?
1.The infinite scarf removes the question " How do I tie this thing?" It is so easy to wear because it has no loose ends.
2. Extra warmth, if you live on the West Coast, you know that the Juan de Fuca Straight does not warm the air up and a chill is always around the corner. Not to mention if you live anywhere in Canada, a little extra warmth is always a good thing.
3. Because Trunk & Bobbin has done it again and turned the infinite scarf into a work of wearable art.

Taste of Lace Top
This top encompasses fashion for today with gentle infusions of yesterday. Topped with vintage lace flowing into an extended shoulder cuffed sleeve, you get a lovely blend of today's preferred silhouette with that timeless elegance that vintage styles seem to carry. With versatile fit and characteristic fabrics, it makes for a great balance between new and old.

The Gremlin Hoodie (Take Two)
Still styling the pointed hood to add a little mischief to your look, this hoodie has some new features from its cousin introduced last year. These cozy sweaters are just that, a wearable hug that looks great. How can you go wrong with a hoodie that has elbow pads?

The Slim Kimono Belt
Designed with a combination of inspirations including historical indigenous fashion along with the sewing technique of a patch-work quilt we get these highly interesting belts. These belts can be worn using the wrap-around technique and can be tied in many fun ways. With carefully considered fabric  combinations they tend to turn a bland outfit into one that is set apart.

Tunics
These basic tops are great for everyday wear. They are made from breezy fabrics that keep you comfortable in summer temperatures. These are far from ordinary having some unique design features including diagonal pleated pockets, carefully selected buttons, tasteful fabrics and an interesting hem-line. These work well with a cartigan or on their own! Dress them up or dress them down.

Back Packs
Why a Back-Pack over a shoulder bag?
Because for a summer by the sea it is important to be mobile. Either on your bike or out on a hike it is convenient to have something that hangs on to you, not the other way around. These designer Back-Packs are made to be fashionable and functional. Lightweight and simple in design and yet full of details which make them unique. These Back-Packs are great for galavanting.

Sew- On Patches
This is a new initiative for Trunk & Bobbin. I, Charis Zillman, owner and operator of Trunk & Bobbin like the idea about buying well instead of buying lots, and also making use of what you have. So, I am making use of my fabric scraps by turning them into fun patches that you can either mend that old shirt you have with or even spice it up with some new colours and shapes! Mending can be better than Spending! A creative change can bring new life to something old!

Hair Pieces
These are not a new piece for Trunk & Bobbin, but are a new take on the hair rosette! Be bold! Be Unique! Be Confident!
